A performance we didn’t expect yesterday as we bowed out of the FA Vase away at Daisy Hill 1-0.

First half missed five or six big chances, composure, poor finishing / decision-making costing us massively with our hosts not troubling Theo in the opening forty five minutes.

Second half was probably one of the worst I’ve seen us in a very long time with too many balls just hopelessly pumped into the air and then the sucker punch came when Morgan Falloh headed a ball back to Theo that didn’t get there and a neat finish was sent home, a bad mistake from Morgs, but he will learn from it.

After that we had two or three tame efforts on the Daisy goal and continued to pump silly balls forward with the lack of composure clearly evident when chasing the game.

Two headers from corners came late on, but that was all she wrote and a poor showing on the day from ourselves, all credit to Daisy who had two chances in the game and took one of them and that’s all that was needed.

A performance none of us seen coming but when you miss chances from the first minute and continue to waste big opportunities your always going to be open to a smash and grab and the game was certainly one of those, but that said in the big moments when composure was needed our hosts had more than us and that’s a worry and will need to be quickly dealt with.

The McNamara’s Sports Bar went to Frazer Cookson who put his head on everything and per usual and one of the very few who came of the pitch with any credit…
