Our third away game on the spin and another win, beating Stockport Town 2-0 to make it seven wins in the month of March (with one game to go).
The first half wasn’t anything to shout home about with Stockport deploying as 352 formation and looking to go direct, we had to be patient and sometimes that’s easier said than done.
We managed to get that all important first goal when a Dan Lowey cross was deflected in and that was as good as it got for the first half (for us) and i for one was happy to get in at the break.
HT 1-0
A good discussion at half-time and a largely dominant second half performance followed,we got the second goal through Sam Burns and looked very dangerous going forward with five or six big chances going close, but we just couldn’t get the third, which probably would have opened the floodgates.
FT 2-0
Yet again another massive shift from the lads and as stated there 7th game in the month of March, to win all seven says it all about this group of lads and we now move onto another tough away day as we travel to the Isle Of Man next Saturday.
The McNamara’s Sports Bar MOM went to James Cooper who showed his leadership qualities in a first half that needed a calm head and overall he didn’t put a foot wrong.
A mention for Liam Morris who had a very good second half also.
Once again backed by our loyal supporters who go all over with us and no doubt will see most of them next week in the Isle of Man, keep that vocal support coming folks, the boys are loving it.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck…
