Another solid performance seen us beat Isle Of Man 3-0 yesterday.
The first ten minutes we were slightly off it and with the heavy wind in our faces it looked like we were in for a tough afternoon, but five minutes later we were two nil up (it’s a funny old game).
A ball forward from Connor Millington found Elliot Hughes and he in turn found the overlapping run of Dan Lowey with a well-timed ball, Lowey drilled it across a for Sam Burns who made no mistake with a first time finish.
A few minutes later it was two nil, Connor Millington putting Elliot Hughes in with a great ball, calm and composed Elliot made no mistake with his finish.
We wasn’t at our fluent best, but we're creating chance whilst keeping Isle of Man out at the other end with Theo untroubled first half.
HT 2-0
Second half the game didn’t come alive until a soft penalty was awarded to Isle of Man, Theo saving low down his left with his pre game homework reaping its rewards
We introduced the quality we have on our bench, and it gave us another spark, and we managed to kill the game off with a Tom Douglas goal with Lewis Buckley the provider.
FT 3-0
A job well done against an Isle of Man side sitting just below us in the table, so another valuable three points going into our Boxing Day fixture with South Liverpool.
The McNamara’s Sports Bar MOM went to skipper Connor Millo who pressed hard and closed the spaces in the middle of the park, making it hard for anyone to have time on the ball…
As always a massive thank you to those in attendance and for all those who travelled over with the Isle of Man on the last Saturday before Christmas, fantastic support for both clubs,
Up next, it’s another big game as we welcome South Liverpool on Boxing Day 3pm Kick Off, we hope you can come join us down the Anny.
We Go Again.
Up The Breck…
